The Uncertified Ohio Death Records Copy Fee includes the cost of labor for researching, retrieving, copying, and mailing copies of death certificates located in the state archives. We cannot provide a refund if a death certificate is not found. Orders for copies of death certificates will be completed in 2-3 weeks. Orders for all years will be sent as digital files by email unless paper copies are requested. Please choose paper copies during the checkout process if you would prefer that. Paper copies will be stamped as coming from our collections, but we cannot legally certify them.

The base fee is $14.00 per requested name, including postage if applicable. Ohio residents must pay 7.5% sales tax.

Copies of Ohio Death Records are copies of original records, not transcriptions. While we attempt to make the best possible copy, irregularities with the original document cannot be corrected.
