ABOUT THE OHIO LOCAL HISTORY ALLIANCE The Ohio Local History Alliance was called the Ohio Association of Historical Societies & Museums (OAHSM) until October 2010 and was organized under the sponsorship of the Ohio Historical Society in 1960. The Alliance's new name recognizes that Ohio's history is collected, preserved, and interpreted by a variety of groups: local historical societies and history museums, historic preservation groups, archives, libraries, and genealogical societies. The Alliance's mission is to inspire, connect, and provide educational opportunities for Ohio's community of local historians. Visit the Alliance online at www.ohiolha.org.
Ohio Local History Alliance Regional Meetings are planned by the Alliance's board and local meeting hosts, and are coordinated by the Ohio History Connection's Local History Services department. Visit OHC online at www.ohiohistory.org.
